Hot-dip galvanizing

High-quality hot-dip galvanizing significantly extends the service life of steel structures. We use modern technology from the German manufacturer Lengsfeld GmbH and operate two galvanizing baths: 7 × 1.4 × 2.6 m in Ukmergė (suitable for structures up to 6.5 × 1.2 × 2 m) and 6 × 0.8 × 1.3 m in Šiauliai (up to 5.5 × 0.6 × 1 m). Larger items can be handled by arrangement with the production team.
Hot-dip galvanizing is the most effective anti-corrosion protection for steel structures, longer-lasting than most industrial coatings. Even if the coating is damaged, the steel underneath remains protected by a self-healing electrochemical process. Depending on the environment (rural, urban, industrial, marine), zinc corrodes at 1–19 µm per year. Typical service life is 20 to 30 years.
Advantages
- Long-lasting protection from rust over the structure’s full service life
- Low maintenance cost
- Even, optimal coverage even in hard-to-reach areas
- Coating quality is independent of weather conditions
- Edges and corners receive the same or thicker coating as flat surfaces
- High resistance to mechanical damage (during transport or installation)
- Quick and simple quality control
- Galvanized parts can be welded using standard methods
